Jane's Experience
Jane, a Resource Specialist from the East Bay, has been a patient of Dr. Mabrie's for a few years, undergoing treatment with BOTOX® in San Francisco. In 2004, she consulted with Dr. Mabrie about resolving the deep creases in her nasolabial folds, the smile lines between the nose and the corners of the mouth. She was nervous to try Restylane® in San Francisco, as she had used collagen in the past with another surgeon who had left her with "lumpy and ridge-like results." Because Dr. Mabrie provided her with such excellent results when performing BOTOX she decided to have him perform the Restylane as well, and was thrilled with the "immediate and natural looking results." She was impressed with how "smooth the transition was, so as not to have obviously had something done."

During 2004, Jane was diagnosed with breast cancer. Coming to see Dr. Mabrie during this time became a nice little treat, helping her to feel beautiful and good about herself during such a vulnerable time. "Dr. Mabrie is not only a wonderful surgeon, but a wonderful person."
Dr. Mabrie began to expand his usage of dermafillers in 2007 to incorporate the cheeks, eyes and nose. Jane decided that she would like to begin treating her cheeks and tear troughs, the area in the inner, lower corner of the eyes, closest to the nose. Her results were very effective, restoring volume loss in the cheeks, filling in depressions, and diminishing the dark circles beneath the eyes. She notes "Dr. Mabrie uses Restylane in a way that truly maximizes my results, something I had not experienced with previous surgeons."

Final Result: What a brilliant beauty!
Jane is a proud survivor, now in 2008 having been healed from cancer for 4 years. This photo was recently taken during one of Jane's visits - 1 year after treatment of the nasolabial folds and 6 months after treatment of the cheeks and tear trough area - and she still looks absolutely fantastic!
