Ralph's Experience
Ralph Wilson is a 19 year old foster child who suffered from keloid scarring on both of his ears. Lori Cohee of the Foster a Dream foundation contacted Dr. Mabrie to have Ralph's wish be granted: Removing the keloids from his ears to in turn restore his self-confidence.
"Growing up in foster care makes you feel like an outcast, like you don't belong and you're different. I had it even worse. For years, I have had to hide behind a hoodie or a beanie. It's hard to walk with your head held high when everyone is staring at you. During "Get Set" [A Foster a Dream Event], I broke down and started to cry. I shared a lot with Ms. Lori [Lori Cohee, Office Supervisor with Foster a Dream] and she asked "What can we do to make you happy?" Without saying a word to her, she offered to find a doctor to fix my ears, and then my smile appeared."

Final Result: What a success!
Dr. Mabrie surgically removed Ralph's keloids, and the results are excellent. Ralph is able to smile with confidence and pride, and is thrilled that he no longer needs to hide behind a hat. "I feel blessed that they are removed, I feel better as a young man."
