Melasma & Tri-Luma Cream San Francisco

(4% Hydroquinone, 0.01% Fluocinolone Acetonide and 0.05% Tretinoin)

Don't hide your natural glow behind the mask of melasma. Tri-Luma cream is FDA-approved to reduce or eliminate skin discoloration caused by melasma. The trio of products works in harmony to give you results in as little as eight weeks.

What is Melasma?

Melasma (literally meaning “dark skin”) is a skin condition often occurring in women during normal hormonal changes, pregnancy, or while taking oral contraceptives. The effects of Melasma are dark, splotchy patches or spots appearing on the face. While often occurring during pregnancy, you don't have to be pregnant – or even a woman – to suffer from its effects.

Sunlight dramatically darkens pale pools of pigment in as little as a day at the beach. The single most important first step is avoid sun exposure at all costs! This means both UVA and UVB. Even better, apply the highest UVA/UVB block that you can find (try 35 SPF or higher) which work two-fold by blocking both UV and visible light.

Tri-Luma is the newest break through cream for the treatment of Melasma. In as little as eight-weeks you can chase away your spots.

The trifecta of products - a low potency corticosteroid (fluocinolone acetonide), hydroquinone, and tretinoin – can be used at bedtime improving your skin texture and tone while you sleep.

Stay the course

When it comes to treating melasma, remember to stick with your program for the long haul. When you have achieved your desired results, stop your bleach but continue your sun protection. Using an ongoing skin rejuvenation program, such as Obagi products, can help prevent recurrences as well as give you a head start on keeping fine lines at bay. Should you find you are experiencing early recurrence of the discoloration, restart your bleach before the problem gets out of control.
