the attractive face, the science of beauty, understood at last

The Ideal Chin

Based on what we now know about the science of attractiveness, the chin is key to an attractive face. Ironically, the ideal chin doesn't attract any attention to itself at all. Its role in the attractiveness of your face is to bring balance to your features and profile. Dr. Mabrie specializes in subtle refinements that produce the ideal chin for your face.

The Chin
& The Attractive Face

A Balancing Act

Research shows that the standard for attractiveness in a chin is one that projects about 2 or 3 millimeters less than the tip of the nose. In women, the chin can project less and still be considered attractive, and in men, slightly more projection may be optimal. The key is that the chin does not draw attention, it simply makes the face look "right" or "normal."

Dr. Mabrie understands how important it is to have a chin that does not recede or project too much, and that gives the face the proportional look that we equate with health, beauty, and familiarity. He specializes in chin augmentation with an implant or fillers at his San Francisco practice to ensure that the chin enhances the overall attractiveness of the face.
