Background:  This San Francisco area woman working in the medical field noticed that her eyes were looking older.  The skin of the upper eyelid was starting to hang and her eyes always looked tired.  She consulted with Dr. Mabrie about the possibility of cosmetic surgery for her eyelids.

Dr. Mabrie's Assessment:
Looking at the preoperative image, one may see that the upper lid skin hangs down.  This is a very common thing to happen to a woman in her early 40's.  One of the early signs of aging can be seen in the eyes.  By removing 7-9 mm of skin, we can improve the eyelid crease and definition of the eyes.  The good thing about this is that with a very small and easy procedure, a major improvement may be given to the face.

Procedure: Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty Surgery

3 Month Follow-Up: Her incisions have healed well.  Because the incisions are placed in the eyelid creases, the scars are well hidden.
