Before And After Correcting Previous Lip Filler Case 1334

ABOUT THIS PATIENT
This patient, a woman in her 40s, came to Mabrie Facial Institute for lip and facial rejuvenation. She had previously received lip filler at another office but felt the results had become less natural over time. During her consultation, Dr. Mabrie identified filler in the white area above her upper lip—an area where filler placement can often reveal that someone’s had lip augmentation.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN
At MFI, we use our signature Illumination 360°™ approach to assess the face from every angle. Dr. Mabrie recommended dissolving the misplaced filler above the lip using HYLENEX® (hyaluronidase), while preserving the existing filler in the pink portion of the lips. After dissolving, Restylane®, a soft hyaluronic acid-based filler known for natural-looking results, was strategically placed to restore volume and smooth texture while maintaining a natural lip shape. To complete the facial rejuvenation, Restylane® was also used:

• Around the mouth to soften lines and reduce shadows
• In the chin to enhance contour
• Along the jawline for added definition
• In the nose to bring balance and harmony to the overall profile

THE OUTCOME
The result is a refreshed, natural-looking enhancement. Her lips now have smooth, hydrated volume without any of the telltale signs of filler. Her overall facial contour appears more youthful and balanced. Best of all, the outcome looks authentically hers—and she was thrilled.
