ABOUT OUR PATIENT
Our lovely patient in her late-60s came to Mabrie Facial Institute hoping to address something we hear often—“I look tired, even when I’m not.” Despite previously undergoing upper and lower eyelid surgery, she felt the etched-in lines under her eyes and overall lack of volume were still casting shadows and making her look older than she felt. She wanted to smooth the wrinkles, refresh her under-eye area, and look more like her vibrant, energized self. Most importantly, she wanted natural-looking results that didn’t scream “filler” or “BOTOX”—just a softer, more rested version of herself.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN
Our approach always starts with understanding the anatomy and assessing the entire face. In this case, we noted two key contributors to her concerns: repetitive muscle activity creating fine under-eye wrinkles and a loss of volume in both the tear trough and midface. To smooth the dynamic lines, our MFI Injector expertly placed small doses of BOTOX® under the eyes—just enough to soften wrinkles without freezing expression. Then, using our Illumination 360° approach, we restored volume using a strategic combination of dermal fillers to the under-eye hollows and midface. This dual technique helped rebuild support beneath the eyes, reduced shadowing, and created a smoother, more youthful transition from the eyes to the cheeks. The midface filler not only lifted but also helped soften the nasolabial folds, completing her refreshed look.

THE OUTCOME
A few weeks post-treatment, our patient was glowing—and not just from her smoother skin. The combination of BOTOX and filler gave her exactly what she was hoping for: a naturally refreshed, well-rested appearance that didn’t look “done.” Her under-eye wrinkles were noticeably softened, the hollowness and shadowing reduced, and her cheeks looked subtly lifted.
