My Passion for Aesthetic Medicine
I’m continuing a family tradition, following in my father’s footsteps. He is a well-respected head and neck surgeon practicing in Houston. I was inspired by what he did, and it encouraged me to specialize in facial plastic surgery.
I knew I needed the best possible education and training. So I began with what all surgeons do; I got my undergraduate degree, finished 4 years of medical school, and then moved on to my training. That’s where I was different than many of my peers. I completed a general surgery internship and then went on to complete a residency for head and neck surgery and an additional fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Finding My Home & My Passion
When I was ready to start my own practice, I had no problem choosing San Francisco. It’s such a dynamic city, with really interesting people. It had just the right progressive, yet established atmosphere for me. You get that same feeling from my office. We’ve created the space with Virgin hospitality in mind while offering all of the safety and amenities of a modern medical practice.
As I built my facial plastic surgery practice, I began to grow more and more fascinated by dermal fillers. These remarkable products—in skilled hands—seem to have almost unlimited potential for enhancing a person’s youthfulness and beauty. I began to intensely study, train, and practice with fillers, and for about the past 10 years, I have focused my practice almost exclusively on nonsurgical facial rejuvenation and enhancement.
In many cases, the results I create for my patients with fillers are superior to what can be achieved with surgery. What I find so exciting and satisfying is that, in just one or two sessions, I can use fillers to create a full-face enhancement that is more precise, predictable, and comprehensive than the outcome of a surgical procedure. Fillers have brought me full circle in my journey to combine my artistic eye, surgeon’s hands, and medical training to produce a superior aesthetic result for my patients.
Every day has been a reminder that I chose the right path. Like my father, I know I’m doing what I’m meant to do. So what does the future have in store? Moving forward, I’m planning to continue to be open to new developments and agile enough to incorporate them into my practice. I’m going to stay ahead of the curve.
I get to be a part of helping people transform the way they look and often the way they feel about their lives—I can’t imagine anything more rewarding.
