ABOUT OUR PATIENT

This patient in her 40s came to Mabrie Facial Institute after receiving under eye filler at another practice that left her with unwanted fullness and visible irregularity beneath the eyes. Rather than looking more rested, the misplaced filler created puffiness and disrupted the natural transition between her under eyes and cheeks. She wanted to correct the previous treatment, restore a smoother contour, and ultimately achieve the refreshed result she had originally hoped for.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN

Before adding any additional filler, our priority was to correct the existing foundation. Using our i360 Full Face approach, we evaluated not only where the previous filler was sitting, but also the relationship between her under eyes, midface, and cheeks. This helped us develop a staged plan to dissolve, reset, and carefully rebuild the area.

• Previous Filler Correction: Hyaluronidase was used to dissolve the misplaced HA filler and reduce the unwanted fullness beneath the eyes.
• Under Eyes: After allowing the area to reset, a softer HA filler was carefully placed to smooth hollowness and create a more natural lower-eyelid contour.
• Midface + Cheeks: Strategic structural support helped improve the foundation beneath the under-eyes and create a smoother transition into the cheeks.
• Full Face Balance: Placement and volume were carefully considered to complement her surrounding features without recreating an overfilled appearance.

THE OUTCOME

Her under eye area now appears smoother, less puffy, and significantly more natural, with the misplaced fullness replaced by a softer, more seamless transition into the midface. Correcting the previous filler first allowed us to rebuild from a cleaner foundation rather than trying to camouflage an unsatisfactory result with additional product.

The result is brighter, refreshed, and balanced, while still looking distinctly like her. This transformation highlights the importance of thoughtful filler correction and staged replacement, especially in the delicate under eye area.
