Before And After Correcting Previous Under Eye Filler Case 682
ABOUT OUR PATIENT
In her 40s, this patient came to MFI concerned about the appearance of previous filler placed under the eyes and lips. She felt the under eye area looked heavy, puffy, and unnatural, with visible bluish discoloration caused by superficially placed filler, commonly known as the "Tyndall effect." At the same time, her lower lip appeared overfilled and disproportionate to the rest of her facial structure.
One key concern in this case was that prior treatment focused on isolated areas without adequately supporting the surrounding facial architecture. While treating a single feature can create temporary improvement, neglecting foundational support through the cheeks, midface, jawline, and lower face can sometimes lead to imbalance and an unnatural appearance over time. She came to MFI hoping to restore a more harmonious, refreshed, and naturally balanced look.
MFI TREATMENT PLAN
This case began with a corrective approach designed to reset and rebalance the face as a whole aesthetic unit, not simply add more filler.
As part of a customized full face i360 rejuvenation strategy, treatment included:
- Hylenex corrective dissolving to carefully remove misplaced under eye and lip filler and restore a clean anatomical foundation for refinement.
- Under eye correction and refill to create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek while improving brightness and light reflection beneath the eyes.
- Midface and cheek contouring to rebuild structural support, restore youthful lift, and improve overall facial balance.
- Jawline definition and lower face support to strengthen contour continuity and create a cleaner, more sculpted facial frame.
- Lip refinement and rebalancing to restore a softer, more natural upper-to-lower lip ratio that better complemented her overall features.
- Upper face Botox to soften dynamic expression lines and create a smoother, refreshed appearance.
Rather than treating features in isolation, the focus was on designing balance, proportion, and harmony throughout the entire face.
THE OUTCOME
The final result is refreshed, balanced, and naturally refined. By dissolving misplaced filler and rebuilding structural support through the midface and lower face, we were able to soften the under eye heaviness, improve contour continuity, and restore harmony across her features.
Most importantly, the outcome does not draw attention to filler itself. Instead, the face appears brighter, smoother, and more structurally supported, allowing the focus to remain on the patient, not the product.
