ABOUT OUR PATIENT

This lovely patient in her 40s came to MFI after experiencing unsatisfactory results from under eye filler that had been placed at another office several years earlier. Over time, she noticed a bluish tint beneath her eyes—known as the Tyndall effect—along with unwanted puffiness. Rather than creating the refreshed appearance she wanted, she felt the treatment made her look more tired and older. During her i360 Full Face assessment, we focused on correcting the previous treatment and restoring a brighter, more youthful under eye appearance while keeping her results natural.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN

Her treatment began with a customized i360 Full Face evaluation to understand how the under eye area connected with the surrounding midface and cheeks.

• Under Eye Filler Dissolving: Two rounds of Hylenex were used to dissolve the previously placed filler and address the unwanted tint and puffiness. Allowing the area to fully reset created a cleaner foundation for her next treatment.
• Under Eyes & Midface: Once the previous filler was fully dissolved, strategic volume was then restored to the under eye and midface areas over two appointments. This helped smooth the tear troughs, soften shadows, and provide subtle support through the cheeks.
• Natural Facial Balance: The goal was not simply to refill the area, but to create a smoother transition between the under eyes and midface for a refreshed, balanced appearance.

THE OUTCOME

Her under eyes now look smoother, brighter, and more naturally refreshed. The previous shadowing, discoloration, and puffiness have been significantly improved, allowing her eyes to look more youthful without appearing overfilled. She continues to maintain her results with follow-up treatment approximately every 9–12 months.
