ABOUT OUR PATIENT

This patient in her early 30s wanted more defined cheeks and a slimmer-looking, heart-shaped facial contour. Frequently on camera and in photographs, she wanted a polished appearance that still felt naturally her.

She initially came to MFI for non-surgical rhinoplasty, inspired by a photo filter that made her nose appear narrower. Her consultation expanded that focus beyond the nose, exploring how the cheeks, chin, and under eyes could work together to create the facial balance she envisioned.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN

Cheek enhancement was central to her broader treatment plan. Using our Illumination 360 (i360) approach, Dr. Mabrie evaluated her features from multiple angles under specialized lighting, studying how light, shadow, and proportion shaped her appearance. Rather than treating each area in isolation, he considered how each refinement would complement the surrounding features.

Her treatment plan included:

• Cheeks and midface (Juvederm Voluma): Filler restored volume and introduced greater cheek definition, supporting the sculpted, heart-shaped contour she wanted. The goal was intentional shaping, not simply adding fullness.
• Chin (Juvederm Voluma and Botox): Filler refined chin shape to bring the lower face into balance with the cheeks. Botox relaxed the chin muscle to complement that refinement with a smoother appearance.
• Under eyes (Restylane): Filler softened hollows and created a smoother transition between the under eyes and cheeks, helping the midface look more rested.
• Nose (Restylane): Carefully placed filler refined nasal contours for a more defined, balanced appearance, addressing her original concern through changes in contour rather than a reduction in nasal size.

At MFI, we prefer treatment over a series of sessions, giving us time to assess how each stage settles and refine the plan thoughtfully. This measured approach allows us to build on earlier results while keeping natural-looking balance at the center of every decision.

THE OUTCOME

Her before-and-after photographs, taken four months apart, document the results of three treatments. More defined cheeks, smoother under eye transitions, and complementary chin and nasal refinements created a more balanced, heart-shaped contour. She was especially pleased with how natural her results looked. Her refreshed appearance enhanced her features while preserving her individuality.
