ABOUT OUR PATIENT

This patient in his 20s came to Mabrie Facial Institute seeking relief from chronic jaw tension, clenching, and grinding caused by strong, overactive masseter muscles. The enlarged muscles also added noticeable width to his lower face, creating a squarer, slightly asymmetrical appearance. His goal was twofold: relieve the uncomfortable muscle tension and achieve a slimmer, more defined facial shape while maintaining his natural, masculine features.

After seeing the improvement from his initial masseter treatment, he trusted Dr. Mabrie to incorporate additional refinements through our i360 Full Face approach, enhancing the proportions created by his slimmer lower face.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN

The primary focus was facial slimming with Botox, with subtle supporting treatments to enhance his overall facial balance.

• Masseter Botox: Customized Botox dosing relaxed the overactive chewing muscles responsible for clenching and grinding. Treatment was adjusted for his natural asymmetry, allowing the masseters to gradually decrease in size and creating a narrower, more tapered lower face.
• Cheeks + Midface: A soft, flexible hyaluronic acid filler added strategic support and definition through the cheeks. Rather than creating fullness, treatment emphasized his cheek structure and complemented the reduction in lower-face width.
• Chin Botox: Botox relaxed the mentalis muscle to soften dimpling and tension, creating a smoother chin contour.

THE OUTCOME

The masseter transformation is the standout result. As the muscles relaxed and reduced in bulk, his lower face became visibly slimmer, more symmetrical, and more sculpted, creating a stronger transition from the cheekbones into the jawline.
