This gentleman in his 70s came to Mabrie Facial Institute wanting to rid of his nasolabial folds, which he felt made him look tied. His initial assessment revealed that the folds were only one part of a larger pattern of age-related volume loss. Through the midface, flattening of the cheeks had reduced support beneath the eyes, contributing to visible under eye bags, hollowness, and deeper shadows. A pronounced crease extending across the cheek further emphasized the loss of midface structure and gave his face a more fatigued appearance.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN

Using our i360 Full Face assessment, we looked beyond the individual folds and evaluated where the face had lost the structural support responsible for youthful contours. His customized Midface & Under Eye treatment focused on rebuilding that foundation first, then refining the remaining shadows and creases.

• Midface + Cheeks: A firmer, more supportive filler was placed strategically to rebuild cheek structure and restore dimension. Reestablishing this foundation also provided indirect improvement to the folds and shadows below.
• Under Eyes: A softer, more flexible filler was used beneath the eyes to smooth hollowness and create a more seamless transition into the cheeks.
• Nasolabial Folds: After restoring midface support, targeted filler further softened the remaining depth of the folds without creating heaviness.

THE OUTCOME

The most noticeable improvement is around his eyes and midface. His under-eye bags and shadows appear significantly softened, while restored cheek structure creates a smoother transition from the lower eyelids into the face.

His nasolabial folds are also less prominent, but instead of simply filling the lines, treatment addressed the underlying loss of facial support contributing to them. The result is a face that appears more rested, supported, and naturally rejuvenated, while preserving his masculine features and the character of his face.
