Woman receiving filler injection and text that reads "How filler can visually shrink your nose"

While it may be hard to believe that adding filler can make your nose look smaller, at MFI, our expert Injectors know how to fix a “big” nose without surgery. Here’s what filler can do to make your nose look smaller:

  • Define a bulbous tip
  • Decrease nasal humps
  • Make the nose appear thinner
  • Lift drooping tip

How can nose filler make your nose look smaller?

Concern: Define A Bulbous Tip

A round tip that lacks definition can make the nose look bulbous, filler can be strategically placed on top of the nasal cartilage to give definition to a round tip.

Concern: Lift Drooping Tip

Drooping tips often occur when the supratip (top tip) of the nose is flat, giving a curved or drooping appearance. Filler can be used to build up the top of the nasal tip, giving it a lifted appearance.

What is non surgical rhinoplasty?

Non surgical rhinoplasty, also known as liquid rhinoplasty or a non surgical nose job, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of injectable fillers to reshape the nose without surgery.

Is non surgical rhinoplasty safe?

Just like any facial dermal filler injection, there’s a possibility of vascular occlusion, which is when filler obstructs an artery or vein. Although extremely rare (1 in 500,000), there’s also a small risk of temporary blindness. These risks are slightly higher in the nasal area. Also very uncommon, there’s a minor risk of skin injury, particularly for those focusing on refining the nasal tip. That’s why it’s crucial to select a provider who specializes in nose fillers and has an in-depth knowledge of nasal anatomy, especially the vascular structure.

At Mabrie Facial Institute, we have the knowledge and experience to minimize risk and promptly recognize complications. For instance, we’re equipped with the necessary products and training to instantly dissolve filler in case of vascular occlusion.

What is recovery like after a non surgical nose job?

While some temporary side effects like bruising, swelling, and slight irritation around the injection site might occur, they can be effectively managed with proper care. These should resolve within a few days. After your treatment, it’s essential to stay vigilant for signs of vascular compromise such as paleness, increased pain, or redness.

Nose Filler Longevity

How Long do Dermal Fillers Last in the Nose?

Results will begin to slowly fade and reveal changes over the course of this time. Coming in for small maintenance visits once a year will allow your results to remain fresh and picture-perfect.

Benefits of Non Surgical Rhinoplasty vs. Surgical Rhinoplasty

Compared to surgical rhinoplasty, nose fillers provide a number of advantages, including:

Minimal Downtime for Healing Leave your procedure ready to go about the rest of your day normally.

Results easily adjustable – You can easily have more filler added to your results, or you can dissolve some of the filler with a reversing enzyme.

No general anesthesia – The procedure is performed in the office with minimal pain.

Reversible –  All filler placed in the nose can be quickly dissolved.

Immediate Feedback on Results You’ll see your results in minutes, not months.
