YOUR REAL SOLUTION FOR DARK CIRCLES AND NASOLABIAL FOLDS
Do you have under-eye circles and/or deepening nasolabial folds that keep you from looking as youthful and vibrant as you feel inside? Are you looking for a nonsurgical solution that erases that fatigued look and awakens your beauty? Ask for Midface Rejuvenation.
Dark circles and eye bags, nasolabial folds, and sagging cheeks are among the most common concerns our San Francisco patients have. But the real solution isn’t common knowledge.
These traits are symptoms of an underlying issue: a sunken midface. When the midface “sinks” from age-related volume loss, we see:
- Bags, dark circles, and hollowness under the eyes
- Sagging/Undefined Cheekbones
- Nasolabial Folds
The real solution: Restoring structure to the midface. A structured midface is composed of a single, visually smooth aesthetic zone that starts at the cheekbone and seamlessly curves from under the eye to the corners of the mouth.
Dark Circles & Nasolabial Folds Are Caused by
a Sunken Midface
From Sunken Midface to Structured Midface
To understand the difference between a sunken midface and a structured midface, think of your midface like a soufflé or cake: When the middle sinks, the cake deflates down and inward, pulling on the edges causing them to flatten and buckle. The same occurs when the midface loses volume. The bordering areas (under-eyes, cheeks, and nasolabial folds) are impacted by the loss of support in the midface (the center).
At MFI, we create a structured midface—one that is supported by just the right amount, type, and placement of fillers. We restore the continuity and smooth contours from the cheekbones to the under-eye to the corners of the mouth, treating it as one seamless zone.
Real Midface Rejuvenation Transformations
Volume loss in the midface is responsible for 3 big problems that bring people to MFI: under-eye bags/dark circles, nasolabial folds, and sagging cheeks. When we add structure to the sunken midface, treating it as one continuous zone, the results are truly remarkable. Midface Rejuvenation can take years off your appearance, giving you a refreshed, rested appearance. Take a look for yourself, and see the kind of results you can expect from your treatment at MFI. If you see your own concerns in these examples, ask for Midface Rejuvenation.
Under-Eye Bags, Dark Circles, Hollowness Treated with Midface Rejuvenation
This San Francisco Bay Area patient in her 20s had under-eye bags successfully treated with Midface Rejuvenation.
This patient received JUVÉDERM VOLUMA to his midface and cheeks and Restylane under his eyes to fill in shadows. At his refinement visit, Kimberly layered on more of both for optimal results, along with some RADIESSE to chisel his cheekbones.
This patient had Illumination 360˚ Midface Rejuvenation for under-eye circles and nonsurgical rhinoplasty Enhancer add-on. Her Injector applied Restylane to her nose and tear trough and JUVÉDERM VOLUMA to her cheeks and midface.
This young man had significant dark circles that disappeared after 2 applications of Restylane, followed by 1 more 6 months later.
Sagging, Undefined Cheekbones Treated With Midface Rejuvenation
This professional male in his 50s had sagging cheeks, skin laxity, and premature aging. Midface Rejuvenation provided the underlying structure and vertical lift to smooth his sagging cheeks and revitalize his appearance.
This woman’s treatment began with Restylane to her tear troughs. The results inspired the addition of JUVÉDERM VOLUMA to her cheeks, followed soon after by chin and nose enhancements.
Nasolabial Folds Treated With Midface Rejuvenation
This bubbly patient in her mid-30s had deep nasolabial folds and under-eye bags from a sunken midface. Midface Rejuvenation significantly refreshed her look, which now reflects her youth and vitality.
This patient had midface sagging that distracted from her natural beauty. Dr. Mabrie added structure to her cheekbones, midface, and chin with JUVÉDERM VOLUMA. He applied Restylane to her tear troughs, lips, nasal bridge and tip. Ultimately, he sculpted her jawline with a syringe of RADIESSE. Her results are the product of 3 treatment sessions.
The Stages of Your Midface Rejuvenation
To get the best filler results for our Bay Area patients, dark circles, bags, smile lines, and sagging cheeks are corrected with layers of filler applied over the course of at least 2 appointments. Using fillers like Restylane®, JUVÉDERM®, and RADIESSE®, we restore structure in the midface in carefully executed stages. This approach is key to achieving the caliber of results we want for our patients. We strongly encourage all our patients to book at least the first 2 appointments in their initial call.
Planning Your Midface Rejuvenation Treatment
Your Midface Rejuvenation procedure requires a minimum of 2 appointments for results. Please plan to spend about 2 hours in the office for your first and second visit. This staged approach allows us to create structure, support, and truly remarkable yet natural-looking, healthy results. While we can accomplish a lot during one appointment, we have learned over the years that too filler much, too soon, can create obvious results, and a “layered” approach works best.
Our Injectors use a variety of injectable fillers for your Midface Rejuvenation procedure. Filler selection is customized for each patient’s needs based on anatomy, skin thickness and laxity, and degree of volume loss.
After treatment, tenderness and swelling is common. Be sure to check-out our After Treatment video for helpful tips during your recovery. Most patients return to normal activities same-day. All of our Treatments are performed by licensed, medical professionals for your safety, comfort, and best results.

Midface Rejuvenation FAQs
How much does midface rejuvenation cost?
The midface rejuvenation package price is $4,000-$5,000 (depending on Injector). This includes your first appointment and up to 4 syringes of filler, as well as your second appointment. If additional syringes are needed, those are priced at a reduced-rate.
How long do dermal filler results last?
Depending on which fillers are used and which areas are treated, your results can last from 6 to 18 months or longer. Dermal fillers are temporary products that require touch-ups to maintain results. We recommend maintenance appointments at 9- to 12-month intervals to keep your results looking fresh. For more in-depth information about the longevity of fillers, visit our page on How to Make Your Results Last.
What is recovery like after dermal filler injections?
Immediately after treatment, you may experience swelling, tenderness, redness, and bruising. These are normal side effects and are most apparent 24 to 48 hours after treatment. They can last up to 2 weeks, but typically subside within 2 to 5 days. Because we know you have questions about after care, we created an entire page dedicated to Understanding Your Recovery Process. Most patients return-to-work same-day.
Which fillers do you use for midface rejuvenation?
Generally, for under-eye rejuvenation, we use Restylane® for the tear trough and JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® for the cheeks and midface. Both of these are hyaluronic acid fillers, which means they are reversible and there is virtually no risk of allergic reaction. Learn all about the fillers we use by visiting Dermal Fillers 101.
Can I get a single-area treatment, like under my eyes or in my nasolabial folds?
Sometimes a person can benefit from a single-area treatment, but rarely. In our many years of dedicated experience and treating thousands of patients, we’ve learned that treating a single area on its own is ineffective and could make the area look worse. Without addressing the midface, you can get a drooping/puddle effect that creates heavier under-eye bags and nasolabial folds—the exact opposite of what you want. When we add structural support in the midface, it allows the filler to remain precisely where we want it.
