Dr. David Mabrie’s facial plastic surgery practice in San Francisco is now Mabrie Facial Institute, a destination for non surgical facial contouring and rejuvenation staffed by some of the best injectors in the field.

San Francisco, California (June 2020) – For more than a decade, Dr. David C. Mabrie, a facial plastic surgeon, has dedicated his practice to non surgical facial aesthetics. Mabrie has made a name for himself as a pioneer and thought leader in the use of injectable fillers and neuromodulators. To better serve his patients, he has expanded his solo practice by developing a team of carefully selected medical professionals, and rigorously training them in the safest, most effective facial contouring and rejuvenation techniques.

“I have always prioritized education,” Mabrie said, “both for myself and my patients. Sharing what I’ve learned and training a top-caliber clinical team to support our patients seemed like the next logical step for my practice.”

Dr. Mabrie trained at some of the country’s best medical and surgical centers, including UCSF, Johns Hopkins, and Stanford. He also trains other doctors, nurses, and medical professionals in the best safety and aesthetic practices for use with dermal fillers. With a growing number of patients seeking his services for procedures such as non surgical rhinoplasty, cheek and chin contouring, and “liquid facelift,” Dr. Mabrie seized the opportunity to further his commitment to education through the creation of Mabrie Facial Institute.

Each of his associate injectors and clinical support team members is hand-selected and trained by Dr. Mabrie. As a group, they share a dedication to superior care and results, and continuing to push the limits of what is possible through non surgical aesthetics.

The first associate injector Dr. Mabrie trained for his clinical team was Kimberly Rolley, PA-C. Kimberly has a master’s degree and a background in neurology, urology, and pediatrics. She spent more than 2,600 hours training with Dr. Mabrie as part of her onboarding as an associate injector. She said she enjoys being part of a team that takes such a meticulous approach.

“Mabrie Facial Institute is so much more than a medical spa or an aesthetics clinic where patients go for injections,” said Rolley. “We build relationships with our patients that start with in-depth conversations about how they want to look and feel. We take the time to thoroughly educate them about our process, products, and safety protocols.”

The patient relationships are long-lasting, in part because the results are, according to Rolley. “We have a unique treatment process—called Illumination 360° that involves long-term planning, careful documentation, and staging of procedures so that we can build and layer with fillers. This creates superior results that hold up, especially when you factor in the touch-up appointments that are a big part of our process.”

For most patients, this process takes the form of a procedure package—either rejuvenation, for patients showing signs of facial fatigue or aging, or contouring, for individuals who want to sculpt and refine their features. According to Dr. Mabrie, the packages allow them to do what’s best for each patient, rather than simply make injections in requested areas.

“Many people come into our office thinking they simply need filler injected into a specific area, such as the nasolabial folds or under-eye area. What we’ve found through years of experience and thousands of treatments is that often we need to treat adjacent areas to produce the improvements our patients really want. This is why we developed procedure packages to comprehensively address our patients’ most common concerns.”

Educating patients about the benefits of the comprehensive Illumination 360° approach has been a major focus of the newly branded Mabrie Facial Institute. Dr. Mabrie, Kimberly, and the other associates have prioritized this education campaign through social media posts, informative videos, blog posts, and a revamp of the practice website.

“We’re really excited about the growth of the practice, but we’re even more excited about the remarkable results we’re able to achieve for our patients,” said Dr. Mabrie. “We made a conscious choice to do things differently—to take a surgical approach to fillers—and it’s gratifying to see people embracing that and enjoying the rewards.”
