Anatomy of the Nose
- Bridge/Dorsum – Shaped by nasal bones
- Nasal Sidewalls – Upper lateral cartilages
- Nasal Tip – Shaped by mobile catrilages
- Nostril Reduction
“My nose is too big.” “My nose is crooked.” “My nose is too bulbous.” Many patients who share similar complaints about their noses are convinced they need to surgically break, cut, or reduce the nose to make it more aligned with their features. In my experience, the exact opposite is usually true. You can often achieve far superior results by strategically adding dermal filler to your nose with the non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure.
What Is Non-surgical Rhinoplasty?
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a procedure that enhances the nasal appearance by skillfully applying a dermal filler, like Restylane, to the nose. For more aesthetically pleasing features, most patients find they don’t need a smaller nose; they need a smoother, stronger and more defined nasal bridge and/or tip.Non-surgical rhinoplasty can provide the facial balance most people seek, usually with little downtime.
Advantages of Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
The results are better.
It seems counterintuitive, but most noses that people think are too big, aren’t too big at all. They lack definition.Their appearance is greatly improved by adding to the nose, rather than taking away.
The results are predictable and reversible.
One of the biggest challenges of traditional surgical procedures is the fear of changing one’s nose and being stuck with the results. In the event of dissatisfaction or adverse reaction, the fillers used for non-surgical rhinoplasty can be dissolved by injecting an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
Minimal downtime and recovery.
There is significantly less discomfort and recovery time than with a surgical procedure. Non-surgical rhinoplasty usually involves minimal bruising and swelling (approximately 4 to 7 days).

My Background With Rhinoplasty
Much of my early experience with rhinoplasty surgery was obtained at the top institutions in the nation. After completing a residency in Head & Neck surgery at Johns Hopkins and becoming board certified in Head & Neck Surgery, I completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at Stanford University and became board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery.
After several years of performing successful surgical and non-surgical rhinoplasty procedures, I’m now focusing exclusively on the non-surgical approach. After seeing literally hundreds of patients, I’ve found that the results most people want can be achieved with non-surgical methods. For cases that still require traditional surgery, I’ll refer you to my most trusted and esteemed colleagues. I’ll make sure that your face is in the best hands possible. That’s my promise to you.
